Although originally established to manage the Sechelt Marsh (see aerial photo below), the SCNHS now also caters to a wide range of natural history interests on the Sunshine Coast. There are currently over 100 members.

The Society has eight meetings each year, once a month from October to May, at which members can take part in discussions of local wildlife sightings and other topics, and hear speakers on a wide variety of subjects related to natural history.

In addition, there are monthly outings, usually bird walks, which are publicized through the Society’s monthly newsletter, Marsh Wrenderings.

For information on membership, contact Marcia Mason, our Membership Director, at marcia@eastlink.ca or at 604-741-9866 or at SC Natural History Society, PO Box 543, Sechelt, BC V0N 3A0
