About Hackett Park Artisan Fair

Fair Dates: August 13th – 14th, 2022, 10AM – 4PM

The Hackett Park Artisan Fair is an annual gathering of local and regional vendors. The Fair has been an annual tradition on the Coast for 34 years, and attracts close to 5000 visitors seeking to discover the creations of artisans who are jury selected based on talent, originality, and the unique items they have to offer for sale. In keeping with our ongoing tradition, the fair will coincide with the popular Festival of the Written Arts (August 11th-14th, 2022, celebrating 40 years!).

This year’s Fair will take place in the lower field of Hackett Park and at the Arts Centre.

We will have live musicians in Hackett Park’s new amphitheatre and fun activities at the Arts Centre. There will be a large variety of artisans, artists, entertainers, and food vendors!

The entrances to the fair are located at the corner of Tail Ave. and Medusa as well as Trail Ave. and Dolphin St. in Sechelt. Admission is by donation for adults and seniors, and free for children under twelve.

In 2022, we are making some exciting changes to this beloved Fair, while honouring its vibrant history and important role in our community. Below are some highlights:

  • We have a new, shorter name
  • We are returning to the Lower Park
  • We are limiting the number of booths to 60
  • We will have family-friendly live music and entertainment on the new park stage
  • We will host a demonstration tent in the Arts Centre garden

For our vendors, there are a few changes you should be aware of:

  • The early-bird registration (March 15 – April 15, 2022) is only available to returning vendors who have participated in any SCAC Fair since 2017.
  • Registration will open to new vendors on April 15
  • There is no difference in price between the early-bird and regular registration
  • Additional charges apply for electricity ($25)
  • To keep the Fair a unique draw, vendors cannot participate in another market/fair on the Coast on the same weekend

We will be limiting each category to 5-8 vendors to ensure a rich, diverse shopping experience for visitors.
