Lori Goldberg breathes new life into abandoned waste in Poetics of the Discarded; where she explores the relationship between material consumption and natural existence. Central to Goldberg’s practice is the concept of reclamation and recycling, where tactile objects and painted images narrate the lifecycle of plastic products, underscoring their critical impact on the environment. By juxtaposing the detritus of daily consumption with the vibrant life force of nature, Goldberg views her work as a call for reflection on our lost connection to the environment and the need to reshape our post-consumerist lifestyle.
