Fibre Farm: Community Gathering + Launch
November 21, 5-7pm, SC Arts Center (Sechelt)
Free, no registration required
We are building the first Indigenous led, disability-justice centered, community garden on the Coast! We invite you to join us for an evening of celebration and dialogue as we launch Fibre Farm which will be located at the Persephone Community Farm.
Join T’uy’t’tanat Cease Wyss and Megan Dewar to learn about what they are planning, and to understand more about this wonderful project. Over 2026 they will be building an accessible gathering space for our community to participate in , while remediating a wetland ecosystem, leading dynamic workshops and teachings, and processing natural plant material. Fibre Farm will be a space to create community around culture and Fibre artistry. This project is motivated by closer relationship to the land.
Please join us to celebrate the launch of this new project with an evening of gathering, food, and welcome, 5-8pm on Nov 21st at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre. (5714 Medusa Ave.) Soup (vegan/gf) will be served.
