As a developing abstract artist, I have tried to absorb as much as I can from 20th century masters of abstraction, their spontaneity, composition and painting techniques. Colour, texture and mark-making often unite with a memory of landscapes observed, or a piece of classical or upbeat music playing in the background. Abstraction form then becomes a journey into the unknown of spontaneity, an exciting process with a final result never prearranged.
