Gazelle, Antelope

The forest is an inspiration. Regenerating itself – dead trees feeding the next generation of growth; the burnt offering of a forest fire clearing the way for new plants and trees. The wood I use is hand milled from “dead and down” trees on my property. With every cut the wood reveals its own personal landscape. The roots originate from the old mining site, the scorched remains of the forest fire three years ago. They are sanded and shaped to reveal the creature inside.
