Strongly influenced by nature on the Sunshine Coast, along with my love of representational shapes and figures, my work, painted in both acrylics and oils, truly expresses my inner life. Part of my process is to begin by examining and exploring my subject matter beforehand, allowing me to paint more freely and with a sense of openness and self-discovery when I am at my easel. I studied visual arts in Montréal, Québec where I grew up, and continued my art education in London, Toronto and Guelph, Ontario, later exhibiting my art work and teaching adult art classes in Toronto where I lived and worked. Now residing in Gibsons, I paint in my studio on the beautiful and inspiring Sunshine Coast, B.C.
