Flowers have always been a traditional favourite with artists as is evidenced by Ancient Greek vases, Pompeian Frescos, the Renaissance, Dutch and Flemish painters through to the more contemporary visions of Matisse’s cut outs and Warhol’s screen prints.

Likewise, I have been working with botanical/floral imagery for many years, exploring diverse mediums and visual expressions that continue to allow me to portray the energy, movement and freshness of the natural environment.

I seek to create works of art that reflect the vitality, colour and light of each individual chosen subject.
