My needle felt creations are whimsical featuring forest animals, gnomes, flowers, mushrooms and felted homes or playscape for them. I also make broaches and ornaments all with the same nature themes.
As an early childhood educator, I’ve had many opportunities at workshops to explore the wonderful world of felt and how to create stories for young children with needle felted creations but it wasn’t until a year ago that I considered selling my pieces for others to use. I participated in the Roberts Creek Christmas craft fair last Christmas and have done commission pieces for SC Childcare Resource and Referral Centre and other education professionals to use with young children. I love to create magical woodland worlds out of merino wool that are soft and inspiring for all ages to use in play and storytelling.
