Lynda Manson grew up in Ontario and graduated from the University of Guelph. She moved with her family to the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia in 2009 after spending many years working as a designer and fibre artist.

Choosing to take a different path for her creative expression, Lynda enthusiastically joined the world of fine art a few years ago. Her favourite mediums, oil pastels and acrylics, allow her to express herself in realism, and more recently, abstract themes. Portraiture is also one of her passions. She takes advantage of her education in design and has taken opportunities to benefit from many workshops and also The Virtual Art Academy. She is an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.

“Nature themes dominate my paintings as I search to share calm, peace and beauty as well as organic colour palettes, shapes and patterns which can be translated with my free-flowing painting style. The ethereal nature of the mist, fog or clouds I frequently incorporate into my paintings erase everything we know and are meant to draw you into the detailed areas of the painting in order to imagine what lies behind the veil.”

Her work can be found in galleries, professional offices and private collections. She is represented by Xanadu Art Gallery in Scottsdale Arizona, USA. Lynda’s work has also been published in the Xanadu Art Catalogue and the International Contemporary Artists Volume X. Lastly, Lynda was part of a group exhibition at the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art in Las Vegas Nevada in 2015.
