Nefri grew up exploring the various parks of BC and recently the Yukon and Alberta. She found inspiration in the challenge of capturing realistic contrasts of nature’s light shows. The variance of colours, whether on the sea or travelling on land, constantly draws Nefri to her paintbox. The many forest shadows and warm sunshine hues reflected dictate to whether the moments are captured by oil, watercolour, pastel or pencil and ink; on canvas or paper.

Since relocating to the Sunshine Coast from North Vancouver, Nefri has continued with the drawing, oils and watercolours and likes to share this knowledge with others by teaching in her Secret Cove Studio. She has joined the Coast Cultural Alliance, Harbour Gallery in Madeira Park and the Sunshine Arts Council displaying in the Doris Crowston Gallery in Sechelt.

Nefri has participated in group shows: i.e. the ‘Friends of the Gallery’ show at the Doris Crowston Gallery in Sechelt; Art Walk in Pender Harbour; and the Suncoast Art Crawl. Presently, her work is displayed at Harbour Gallery and for special events at the Seaside Community Hall. In 2008, Nefri had her first solo show “Windows of the North” at the Harbour Gallery. The same show was exhibited in 2009 at the District of North Van Municipal Hall and in 2010 at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery.
