Pat Ridgway’s paintings reflect the natural beauty, light and energy of her garden, our forests, and the West Coast. She manages to capture their intrinsic beauty rather than just portray a flat image, and so transmits to the viewer their inner light and life. Many of her paintings are inspired by the natural world and she has been active in environmental protection for over 40 years. Her aim is for her paintings to inspire others to appreciate and protect the natural wonder around them.
Pat, originally from North Vancouver, has lived on the Sunshine Coast for over 26 years and her art extends to her lovely gardens and home which become the canvas themselves. She also enjoys painting portraits, interiors, spiritual icons and animals.
By request, she teaches art at her unique and charming garden studio/gallery in Elphinstone, just west of Gibsons. Pat has had many solo art exhibits and her work is in collections in several countries.
