Although originally established to manage the Sechelt Marsh (see aerial photo below), the SCNHS now also caters to a wide range of natural history interests on the Sunshine Coast. There are currently over 100 members.
The Society has eight meetings each year, once a month from October to May, at which members can take part in discussions of local wildlife sightings and other topics, and hear speakers on a wide variety of subjects related to natural history.
In addition, there are monthly outings, usually bird walks, which are publicized through the Society’s monthly newsletter, Marsh Wrenderings.
