Chad is the Executive and Artistic Director of Deer Crossing The Art Farm – a Sunshine Coast based organization of creative community builders. Since The Art Farm was officially formed in 2008, Chad has overseen the development of an annual outdoor festival (Synchronicity 2009-2015), FUSE Community Work Hub: a shared work space for creative and social entrepreneurs on the Sunshine Coast, eight seasons of The Rainforest Circus: a site-specific interdisciplinary collaboration between artists, their community and a local rainforest, The Smart Farm Project: a land-use innovation that provides affordable housing for young farmers and catalyzes new farms, Human Nature: three years of youth-led community-engaged arts programming inspired by ecological themes, and The Imagination Network: a partnership between an academic institution, a health care organization and The Art Farm to co-create, produce and perform a theatrical production in collaboration with people living with dementia. Before his stint with the Art Farm Chad worked as a professional actor and writer for over 15 years. Chad lives two kilometres up the Port Mellon Highway with his amazing wife and two awesome children.
