The Harbour Gallery in Madeira Park is a place where local visual artists – beginning, emerging and established – come together in a spirit of sharing and co-operation to further their individual artistic development as well as that of the visual arts in general in Pender Harbour.

In 1986 the original artists found a permanent home in one of the old BC Forest Service buildings which now make up the Pender Harbour Cultural Centre Complex. For the past 35 years, from September to June, the member artists have met at the gallery weekly and painted together. During the summer months the cozy and welcoming gallery is open to visitors. Mediums are as varied as the artists; acrylic, oil, watercolours, pastels, mixed media, felted wool, stained glass and mosaic!

Gallery commissions have enabled the artists to fund an annual bursary to a graduating Pender Harbour student carrying on in Fine Arts, as well as making annual donations to community projects. The Harbour Gallery participates in the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl every October.
