Theresa Lee earned B.F.A degree in Studio Art from the Emily Carr University of Art & Design in British Columbia, Canada in 1997. She has an active member status of the Federation of Canadian artists, and had over fifty times of juried group shows and solo exhibitions nationally and internationally including two times of invitational shows for Florence Biennale.
Currently she works as a full time artist in her studio on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia,Canada. Living in the forest area more than 20 years trees and woods naturally became favourite subject matter of her paintings. She enjoys to express her emotional responses to the environment in unique way of semi abstract style. Playing light and shadow with spontaneity and simplifying shape and color,Theresa Lee creates sense of drama and add visually exciting design elements to the image.
Her paintings are held in private collections across Canada, United States, German, Japan, China and South Korea.
