Born in Ottawa, and living over the years on the West Coast and in Toronto, Neva has called the Sunshine Coast her home for the last 13 years. Her inherent passions have included a deep artistic and spiritual connection to the ‘stone people’ and the elements.
Silence is the bedrock from which Neva’s inspirations originate and become ‘InSpirited’. As she has traveled her ‘panche be’ (a Mayan term for ‘path of truth’), which has included tai chi, yoga, shamanism and A Course in Miracles, her art has evolved to reflect the wholeness she feels as a result of this journey.
Neva has an Honours BFA with a specialty in printmaking. In the 1990’s Neva was an award winning print maker with work in galleries and stores in Toronto and other cities in Ontario. She then became a potter and now she creates one of kind and limited edition silver, gold and gemstone artisan jewelry – which she experiences to be a perfect way to combine her love of pattern, texture, color and organic feminine form into artisan jewelry – wearable art. Today, Neva is an artist of light and ‘InSpirited’ jewelry, living with her partner amongst the cedar trees on the Sunshine Coast.
