Join us at the Beer Farm to start our season’s natural dye garden, with an accessible planting box created by Cinder Circle Collective and plant starts donated by the Sunshine Coast Fibreshed and Maiwa. KIOSK’s Spring artist-in-residence, visual artist Nadina Tandy, will host an informal Open Studio to share about her time at the tiny, mobile studio.

Get a first look at the growing site and meet some of the dye plants we’ll be working with this season – including domesticated plants used in global dye traditions and grown locally, and native species commonly found in disturbed forest sites. Adventurous guests can join us on a ‘foray’ of the Beer Farm, to search for natural dye sources in windfall, pruning and weeds.

🔥Wayfinding: This event is located at the Persephone Beer Farm on Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw territory at 1053 Stewart Road, Gibsons, BC. By vehicle you can reach the Persephone along North Road, onto Stewart Rd, with parking on-site including designated accessible parking. Or by bus on the 90 or the 1, stopping at North Rd. and Stewart Rd. followed by a three minute walk over variable terrain. 40 mins from Sechelt. 15 mins from Langdale, and 20-30 mins from Gibsons by bus.

🔥Accessibility:
Located outside on the grounds at the Persephone beer farm, this event is informal, with opportunities to sit, stand and move around as you choose. Please stay for as long as you wish and pick the experience that feels right for you. Currently, KIOSK is not an accessible space. Barriers include: uneven terrain and a multi-step entry. Accessible garden beds will be featured on site as we continue to work towards overall access. Gender neutral, single stall, accessible washrooms are available indoors at the Persephone tasting room.
