In the fifteen years since Rick Harmer began working with concrete, he has worked at developing his own formula for making garden and wall art that is extremely lightweight, yet durable. His creative focus now centres on the interplay of colour and texture; through the use of acid washes and tinted sealers applied to coloured concrete, he creates pieces that range from shiny and whimsical to “archaeological.”
Rick continues to pursue the perfect mix of cement and other materials to make what he describes as “art that speaks to you.” Whether featured on an indoor wall or outside amongst foliage and flowers, his concrete pieces add an elegant dimension to their surroundings.
