What can you expect?
The program combines hand-on studio instruction led by artists with life-skills components led by local women leaders who will share their stories of success, challenges and opportunities. You will meet twice a week – an evening and a day – and these gatherings will include in-studio activities as well as visits to forests, artist studios, museum collections and galleries
Is this opportunity for you?
This is an opportunity open to women and girls living on the Sunshine Coast who are interested in learning tangible skills (weaving) and life skills (empowerment training) while being part of an intergenerational environment where you learn within the spirit of sharing and healing. We are able to provide support for child-care, and transportation and food will be provided during all gatherings. If you are successful in joining the program, we will work with you to determine what you may need. All program materials and supplies are provided, and there is no cost for participating in the program
