After 26 years of making jewelry I was asked if I wanted to rust metal. So I jumped on board with Roz Stanton & never looked back. The process uses recycled steel, the designs are done on a computer and then cut with a plasma cutter. They are then sprayed with a 3 part nontoxic acid solution to give them this beautiful rust colour. It’s so much fun experimenting & watching the texture looks that happen on each individual piece. No two are alike. Then I bend & shape the metal, create wind chimes or mount some on wood, lots of creative ideas. Finally they are all sprayed with a finish to keep the colour & this allows them to be outside or inside decor.
