My Name is Luigi Lorenzo Lupini and I am 63 years old. I paint by the name Ziza, a nickname given to me by my late grandmother.
I am of Italian decent and come from a family of artistic artisans and sculptors.
I started about 4 years ago to paint for a way to express my observations of things of beauty that I had been exposed to in my life. To my pleasant surprise I found painting very rewarding and loved the bright contrasting colours of acrylic.
My wife Maureen and I came to the sunshine coast two and a half years ago and I continued to paint, but with new inspiration from the calmness and serenity of the Sunshine Coast.
The more I put brush to canvas the more I explore the endless scenes waiting for me to capture. As an Italian aficionado I love the Italian coastline and Tuscan scenery… My paintings are an expression my perception the world I see.
All the paintings that are on display were painted with passion right here on the Sunshine Coast.
I also do art in copper wire depicting aircraft, and various other items to perfect scale. I love the mechanical see through effect of this type of art. It reveals the inner beauty and proportion of the art created.
