“Textures and Fragments” pairs the work of Teryl Mullock and Monica Gewurz in two concurrent and deeply connected exhibitions.
Teryl’s work is framed within the idea of “Inner Pictures,” an exploration of the free expression of the artistic process. Inspiration drawn from fragmentary observations of the natural world, or manmade objects, for example a detail of the rusty floor of the ferry, or a close-up of the beaten carcass of an old canoe, or the pattern of shadows on tree bark.
