The March 3rd Artesia Coffee House at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt will feature the return of ‘Back Porch Reunion’ with the vocals of Dale Stavroff on numerous Ukuleles and guitars and Al Burns on drums playing Creole, Americana and Blues followed by the sweet sounds of local visual artist, singer / songwriter, musician, Keely Halward. The second set presents actor, writer and reader Richard Austin and to end the evening is ‘Lucky Ol Sun’ with another visual artist, musician, Teryl Mullock on guitar, vocals joined by John Lepore, banjo, vocals and Robin Friesen on violin. “The music of Lucky Ol Sun is what you might wish would break out in your kitchen from time to time.. the sweet flavours of traditional acoustic folk with the kick of certified original indie sauce”. It looks like another night of great live music in an intimate and welcoming venue.

The Coffee House presented by the Coast Cultural Alliance started on October 2003 and has run consistently to February 2020 followed by a small ‘pandemic’ interruption. We are excited to be back and now be partnering with the Sunshine Coast Arts Council to continue this well received and ongoing event the first Friday of each month in the Spring of each year.
